Platero Mobile Ecosystem • Merchant POS Terms of Service
1. Introduction
These Terms of Service govern the use of the Platero Point-of-Sale Mobile Application ("platero-pos"). The POS app allows registered merchant locations to accept employee meal benefits via QR code scanning and submit refund requests.
2. Device Pairing & Location Control
The POS app is paired to a merchant account via a pairing token. We verify the terminal's geolocation in real time during transactions. Both Platero and the merchant's portal administrator hold the right to revoke terminal pairing at any time.
3. Transaction Expiry & Limits
Payment intents generated by the POS terminal are reference-based, time-limited, and expire within a few minutes. Transactions are verified in real time. Platero reserves the right to set transaction amount caps in accordance with merchant contracts.
4. Merchant Code of Conduct
Merchants must not: (1) apply extra surcharges to Platero transactions, (2) process split bills to bypass limits, (3) process fake transactions for cash refunds, or (4) refuse service to authorized Platero cardholders during business hours.
5. Service Suspension
We reserve the right to suspend POS terminal access or freeze payments if a merchant violates these terms, engages in suspicious checkout behaviors, or registers recurring location verification mismatches.
